Dollywood Family Lounge Now Open at Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital PICU

Our premier pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) offers high-quality, custom care for critically ill or injured children in our region.

Last year, Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital PICU provided state-of-the-art care for over 800 patients, with an average stay of five days.

To better support families with children staying in the PICU, we created the Dollywood Family Lounge — a welcoming space designed for rest, comfort and relaxation. The lounge features a kitchenette, nourishment room, showers, sleep pods, dedicated workspaces, and washer and dryer facilities to help meet families’ needs during their stay.

Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital is a free-standing, independent, not-for-profit pediatric health care system that serves the East Tennessee region and beyond. As a Comprehensive Regional Pediatric Center, we offer full capabilities to care for seriously ill children in a unique pediatric environment and offer the services of many different pediatric subspecialties. We exist to improve the health of children through comprehensive, family-centered care, wellness and education.
