Dolly Children's Rehabilitation Graduate Student Placements
Dolly Children’s Rehab offers inpatient and outpatient clinical education placements for graduate students enrolled in accredited programs in:
- Occupational Therapy
- Physical Therapy
- Speech-Language Pathology
Clinical education experiences are available within our main hospital as well as our outpatient rehabilitation centers located throughout East Tennessee. Our program is designed to provide advanced clinical learning opportunities for students preparing to transition to professional practice in pediatric healthcare.
Students interested in completing a graduate clinical placement should discuss their request with their academic clinical coordinator. All placement requests must be submitted through the student’s graduate program.
Please review the following placement expectations prior to requesting an experience with Dolly Children’s Rehabilitation Services:
- We accept terminal or final-year rotations only.
- Students should demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing a career in pediatric rehabilitation after graduation.
- Students requesting an acute care placement are strongly encouraged to have prior adult acute care clinical experience.
- Interviews and resumes are required prior to placement.
- The student’s academic program must be currently accredited and preferably have an active affiliation agreement in place with our organization.
